Route Characteristics

The tour 2016 will start in Klosterneuburg, which is very close to Vienna, the gorgeous capital of Austria with its glamourous heritage of the Habsburg Monarchy and monuments like the Stephansdom, Castle Schönbrunn or the Prater. We will leave Austria to the north and cycle through the Austrian wine quarter towards the Czech boarder, which is not far away. Cycling through the Czech Republik will lead us to some interesting cities like Tabor and later on to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Going further northwards along the rivers Moldau and Elbe we will cycle through the beautiful Elbe Sandstone Mountains. The next important city on our way, Dresden, is another very interesting site with its cultural heritage like the Semper Opera, the Zwinger or the Frauenkirche. The last part of our tour shows us the Spree Woods region (Spreewald) with its uncountable small canals and lovely villages. That night we will be hosted at the Tropical Islands Resort, Europe's largest tropical holiday world. From there it is not far to Berlin, the prosperous capital of Germany with its unique history of the eastern and western world and the GBI Closing Ceremony to say goodbye to old and new friends.
